An up-to-date listing of programs, exhibits and other
activities at the American Heritage Center.
Educational Programs
The American Heritage Center conducts orientation classes for
students about what resources are available for research projects and how to access those
resources. Faculty are encouraged to contact AHC staff for assistance in developing
projects for their courses using AHC resources or special research sessions for their
students. The AHC has also made available teaching lessons using archival materials.

Special Programs
In addition to providing materials for research, the American
Heritage Center sponsors public lectures, conferences, and other events. Exhibits
highlighting AHC collecting areas are on display to the public free of charge during
regular hours of operation.
Bernard L. Majewski Research Fellowship
The Bernard L. Majewski Research
Fellowship is funded by an endowment provided through the generosity of the late Mrs.
Thelma Majewski and is intended to provide research support for a recognized scholar in
the history of economic geology and to facilitate the fellow's use of related collections
in the American Heritage Center of the University of Wyoming.
Service Charges
The AHC charges for such services as photocopying, photograph
reproduction, duplication of videotapes or audiotapes, and commercial uses of AHC
materials. Information about these fees may be found through the University of Wyoming Fee Book.
George A.
Rentschler Room and Lecture
The George A. Rentschler Room of the AHC houses ten
western paintings -- nine Henry Farnys and one Frederick Remington -- of
New York businessman and western enthusiast George A. Rentschler in a
reproduction of his New York City Library.
The George A. Rentschler endowment also sponsors an
annual visiting lecture. The 2000 Lecture was delivered by Dwight
Pitcaithley, the 2002
Lecture was delivered by Shepard Krech III, and the 2003
Lecture will be delivered by Mark Zwonitzer.
Video Broadcasts
The AHC has made available video recordings of its programs and
activities to provide
greater access to its lectures and other information. Among the
available items are the Rentschler and Majewski Lectures and the AHC introductory videotape.

Reprints of Grace Raymond Hebard's 1928
"History and Romance of Wyoming" maps are now available. The 1993 limited
numbered edition is from the original letterpress cut which is part of Hebard's papers at
the American Heritage Center. The 1993 maps are hand-colored and sell for $95 plus $5 for postage and handling.
