UW Digital Projects

These database applications currently feature UW's Undergraduate Research Day 2008 and photo collections from Saratov, Russia.

New collections include materials collected on a recent trip to one of UW's study abroad partners, Saratov State University. Our library colleagues at the Saratov State University, Main Library gave the UW Libraries several analog collections to digitize as well as several digital collections they had created to place on our Digitized Collections website. Personnel in the libraries have been working to build these collections, add descriptive metadata and translate the content from Russian into English to make these collections accessible to the UW community.

Also included are exhibits from our parter institution in Russia, Saratov State University. An exhibit focuses on the Russian Orthodox Churches of Saratov. Also included is a collection of the Architecture of Saratov State University and Saratov, Russia.

Alliance Digital Repository (ADR)

The Alliance Digital Repository (ADR) is a consortia digital repository of Alliance members. The repository is avilable to all campus members of the various member institutions who wish to place content on the site. Currently the ADR supports deposit and viewing of three material types: article, document, and image. Several more material types have been identified and will be available as they are finalized. Content available in the ADR pre-release is deposited at the sole discretion of each contributing institution.

Watch for new content and a UW look and feel for the Wyoming portion of the Allinace Digital Repository. The current version of the ADR is in pre-production release format.

UW Libraries and AHC -- High Resolution Digital Collections

The Digital Initiative uses Insight Software from Luna Imaging for high resolution searching and image viewing.
